About Our Family: We are a warm and welcoming family looking for a nurturing, reliable, and organized nanny to care for our two young children (pre-school & daycare age) and assist with our newborn baby, arriving in early May. We also have a friendly dog who requires two short daily walks. This role is perfect for a proactive, caring individual who enjoys engaging with children, maintaining a structured routine, and supporting a growing family. ⸻ Responsibilities: Childcare Duties: 👶 April – Early May (Before Baby Arrives) • Morning routine: Help children get dressed, prepare breakfast, and pack lunches. • Drop-offs & Pick-ups: • Daycare drop-off at 8:30 AM (5-minute walk). • Pre-school drop-off at 8:40 AM (short drive or walk). • Pick-up for both before 4:30 PM. • Afternoon activities: Engage in age-appropriate play, crafts, reading, or outdoor time before parents return home. • Household tasks related to children: Organizing their rooms, doing laundry, and ensuring common areas stay tidy. • Meal prep: Prepare snacks after school, simple kid-friendly dinners, and pack lunches for the next day. 👶 May – June (After Baby Arrives) • Newborn care support: Assist with putting the baby down for naps between nursing sessions. • Light baby-related tasks: Organizing baby supplies, keeping the nursery tidy, and assisting with general household upkeep. • Continue all regular childcare responsibilities for the older children. 👶 June Onward (Pre-Schooler Home Full-Time) • Create a structured routine including outings (library, parks, nature walks), arts & crafts, and indoor activities. • Adjust to possible reduced daycare hours for the younger child. ⸻ Household Support: 🐶 Dog Care: Walk the family dog twice daily (30 min per walk), often while taking children to daycare or school. 🏡 Light housekeeping related to children: • Laundry for the children. • Tidying bedrooms and play areas. • Keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean after meals/snacks. 🛒 Errands (Occasional): Pick up groceries or baby supplies if needed. ⸻ Schedule & Breaks: ✅ Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (capped at 40 hours/week). ✅ 3.5–4 hour mid-day break (for personal time, errands, or rest). ⸻ Ideal Candidate: ✔️ Experienced caregiver (2 years preferred) with infants & toddlers. ✔️ Reliable, proactive, and organized. ✔️ Comfortable with pets (family dog is friendly!). ✔️ First Aid & CPR certification preferred. ✔️ Valid driver’s license is a plus but not required. ✔️ Legally eligible to work in Canada (LMIA sponsorship not available). ⸻ Compensation & Benefits: 💰 $18-$25/hour based on experience. 📆 Fixed schedule with a mid-day break for flexibility. 🏡 Positive and supportive family environment.
