Nanny Job in Whitby, Ontario

Hello! My name is Kathryn, and my family in Whitby, Ontario is excited to welcome a dedicated and caring individual to join us as a full-time nanny. We are looking for someone with experience in caring for infants, as we want to ensure our child's needs are met with the utmost attention and love. This is a live-out position, so you will need to commute to our home on a daily basis. Preferences for applicants in the Durham region. Your role will involve not only caring for and nurturing our little one but also assisting with activities that promote growth and development. We’re looking for a nanny Monday through Friday, 9AM-3PM to look after our playful 1 year old son starting July 28th. There is potential for overtime on occasion as agreed upon in advance. Responsibilities Include: - Supervising indoor play and outdoor play (1 outing/ day weather permitting in backyard or nearby parks) - Mealtimes (note we will prepare food for our son in advance) - Diaper changes, dressing, bath time as needed - Light housekeeping related to child play area (tidying toys, etc.) and highchair (we will launder bibs and clothing) - Nap time (currently 2/ day) Background check and references required. We’re looking for someone clean, patient, responsible, good humoured, playful, able to aid with child education development, and who can also adapt to the changing schedule of a growing infant. Our son has some sensitivities and as such we request that no perfume, no makeup, and no glitter enter our home. At least one parent will be working from home at all times. The parent will be responsible for any transportation required, so a driver's license is not necessary. We will provide meals for our son, toys, books, a stroller, clean bibs, indoor and outdoor clothing, diapers, wipes, etc. We will shortlist candidates for an interview and may request a trial run (meal and playtime) to ensure the candidate is a good fit with our son.
