Nanny Job in Port Hope, Ontario

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated, professional live-out nanny and mother's helper to provide high-quality care for our 20-month-old child and support the mother. Our household is committed to a screen-free, non-toxic, and sensory-focused environment. Work Schedule * Hours: 8:30 AM – 5.00 PM. * Type: Live-out position. Payment * Market competitive rate negotiable for the right candidate including 4% vacation pay Daily Routine Framework * Morning Transition & Breakfast: Load dishes; prepare breakfast and set up high chair; parent hand-off; clean up and run dishwasher. * Morning Activity & Outdoor Time: Conduct purposeful activity time; facilitate backyard walk. * Mid-Day Rhythm & Household Support: Manage activity/nap time; full-family laundry; organize child’s dresser (on laundry days); meal prep (wash/chop veggies/fruits, marinate meat); prepare and assist with lunch and cleanup. * Afternoon Engagement & Hand-off: Unload dishwasher and maintain; engage in play time; prepare dinner; baby hand-off to parents. * Ongoing Daily Maintenance: Run wet mop (water-only standard); clean playpen. Environment & Safety Guidelines * Attire: Professional, clean scrubs are provided and required for all working hours. * Personal Care: The household is scent-free; caregivers must arrive free of perfumes or scented products. * Hygiene: We require natural nails, free of polish or artificial enhancements, to maintain maximum hygiene for food prep and toddler play. Requirements * Legally eligible to work in Canada * Language: Must be proficient in English. * Experience: While we value experience, we place significant weight on a candidate's overall performance and dedication over a specific number of years in the field. * Commitment to a screen-free engagement philosophy. * Strong punctuality and reliability. * CPR/First Aid certification for infants and toddlers (preferred). * Ability to provide excellent professional references.
