Job Title: Part-Time Nanny for 3.5-Year-Old Boy (Autism Spectrum, Non-Verbal, Global Development Delays)** **Position Type:** Part-Time (approx 10-15 hrs per week) We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated part-time nanny for our 3.5-year-old son who is on the autism spectrum, completely non-verbal and experiences global developmental delays. He is a happy, loving child who enjoys outdoor activities, rhymes, and has a joyful, easy-going nature. We are looking for someone who can provide supportive care, structure, and engaging activities to help him thrive. **Responsibilities:** - Supervise and engage with our son in a safe, caring environment. - Spend quality time outdoors, encouraging physical play and exploration. - Use rhymes, music, and simple games to foster language development and social skills. - Willing to work and train from his therapy team and learn skills & activities to implement during your care. - Provide support during meals, playtime, and daily routines. - Ensure a calm and structured environment to help him feel secure and comfortable. - Communicate effectively with us about his needs, preferences, and progress. - Help with light household tasks related to our son’s care (such as tidying up toys or assisting with meal prep). **Qualifications:** - Experience working with children, especially those on the autism spectrum or with developmental delays. - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development. - Ability to follow a consistent routine while being flexible and adaptable to the child’s needs. - Comfortable spending time outdoors and encouraging physical activity. - First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). - References from previous childcare roles required. **Additional Information:** - The role is part-time with flexible hours, with occasional evening or weekend care. - A background check and references will be required. - Previous EA or BI experience is an asset.
