Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

About Us: We are a fun-loving family in the Central Lonsdale, North Vancouver area, with a 2.5- year old toddler. We’re looking for a part-time afternoon caregiver with a minimum of 1 year experience with toddlers 1-3 years of age. The ideal caregiver would would have great energy, easily follow our daughter’s basic routines and schedule, and engage and entertain her in ways that will help her reach milestones and find joy in every day. * Pay is $22-24/hr - negotiable dependent experience and credentials (ECE etc.) * We can contribute to your transit pass, if needed and will provide a vehicle while working for those with full drivers license and clean record. Hours: 5 weekdays: Monday to Friday 1:30-5pm (non negotiable, however flexible for days off / time off required if known in advance) Live-out only. Someone who is based in North Vancouver preferred but Downtown Vancouver is OK Caregiver Qualities and Skills Required: * Min. 1 year experience with a toddler between the age of 1 and 3. * Non-smoker, non-vaper * Speak, read & write in English * Reliable and on-time * Values routine & structure * Clean & tidy both of themselves and their environment * Attentive, Caring * Energetic & Assertive * Loving & Playful * Outgoing & Communicative * Values healthy eating * Infant CPR and first-aid certified *if not we will pay for the course so that you become certified. Responsibilities: * Following a fairly basic routine & schedule * Planning & preparing child’s meals & snacks * Cleaning up after children’s play and mealtimes * Light housekeeping - wiping counters, dishes, vacuuming, laundry, meal prep (while baby sleeps) * Planning afternoon activities, outings & play dates (with parents assistance) * Comfortable being outdoors and exploring together * Verbally reporting day for us prior to leaving Please provide a description of yourself, your child care experience, why you would be an ideal candidate for this role including your availability as well as wage expectations.
