Nanny Job in North York, Ontario

Our family is seeking a qualified ECE professional in North York to care for our infant boy on a part-time and live-out basis, with a hourly rate of $25 and the potential for a long-term commitment. Please do not send me generic messages, if you don’t meet all of the below criteria. From now to end of the year we will only need Fridays, in order to ease our baby into your care. Ideally you will start in January 2025 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays plus ad hoc days. Full day (9am-5pm) preferred, but exact hours are flexible. For most days, I (the mother) will be working from home, but I would be happy to work together with you on the baby when you need a hand. We value professionals who are dedicated, and capable of providing a safe and stimulating environment for our little one. Responsibilities will include prepping and feeding solid foods, changing diaper/potty training, playing, singing and talking/reading to the baby. He is actively practicing standing, climbing and soon walking, so being physically capable to help him safely exploring his environment is crucial. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience with infants under 1 year old and possess CPR certification. College degree/Diploma in early childhood education or children related subject is required. It would also be a plus if you are a parent yourself. Fluent English is required for this role. Respectfully, we would only consider individuals who are up to date with their immunization (please refer to the Toronto day care staff immunization requirements) and comfortable with seasonal vaccinations such as flu and Covid. Immunization record is required. Hygiene and food safety knowledge for vulnerable population is also a must. Background check and references will be required prior to commitment.
