Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

We are seeking a full-time nanny / house manager starting in September. 40 hours a week, Mon-Fri. (typically 8:00am to 4:00pm, some flexibility required). Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience (negotiable). Valid drivers' license with safe driving record required and own car strongly preferred. We have two adorable kids—a 6 year old boy going into grade 1 at the local school one block from our home, and our 4 year old will be at home Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings but will be in preschool the rest of the time (M, W, Fri afternoons and Tues / Thus 9-2:30), which is a short drive away. The kids are very well-behaved, independent, and playful. We will need assistance with getting the kids up in the mornings, helping them get dressed, giving them breakfast, making school lunches, and doing school drop-off and pick up and spending time with them after school. When the kids are in school, we will require help around the house including food meal prep, household errands and chores, groceries, tidying, vacuuming, laundry, putting away dishes, etc. We are an easy-going and kind family living in North Vancouver’s Edgemont neighbourhood in a great house with a park-like backyard. It is a non-smoking, no pets household. Both parents are busy professionals who work outside the home. We are hoping to find someone who is a great fit for our family and is reliable, responsible, punctual, energetic, kind, and experienced around children and with helping to run a household. Ideally we would find someone who is able to commit to a year or longer. Skills/Assets, etc. - A valid drivers’ licence with safe driving record is required as we need someone to drive our daughter to preschool, and own car is strongly preferred (we have car seats we could provide and would reimburse you for gas mileage). - COVID-19 conscious, follow public health guidelines, etc. - Strong English language skills required. - Must be eligible to work in Canada. - Must have excellent references. - Must provide a clear criminal record and background check. - First aid/CPR training is preferred. - Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate is an asset (but not required).
