Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Hello! We're a young family of three who live off Commercial Drive in East Vancouver. We're looking for a kind, reliable, honest and nurturing live-out nanny to care for our one year old starting September 27. The position will evolve to be a nannyshare with another 9 month old in January 2022. We live in a house with a deck and are very close to a park. We value having fun, learning, being active, and are looking for a nanny who enjoys the same things. We're looking for someone who would set kind but firm boundaries with our son. Dad leaves for the day and Mom will split her time between working from home and going into the office. Hours: Monday - Friday: 8AM - 4:00PM. Approx. 40 hours a week. Schedule may vary weekly based on family schedule and hours worked (ie. Friday off). Job Duties: - Provide nurturing, compassionate care to child - Focus on playtime and fun, creative activities (minimal to no screen time); daily outside play - Light meal prep; serve and supervise meals (lunch and snacks provided) - Change diapers and bathe child on occasion - Manage child's social, emotional, and physical needs - Light household tidying after playtime and meals (ie. loading and unloading dishwasher) - Start child's laundry when time allows - Travel to supervised activities (ie. community center drop ins, family place) - Communicate with us on child's development and activities from the day Conditions of employment: - Relevant experience with children - Up-to-date First Aid/CPR - Clear criminal record check - Drivers license - Fully vaccinated or will be by start date - Live out; eligible to work in Canada
