Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

We are looking for a caring, energetic, and reliable person to support our amazing 7 year old son throughout the upcoming school year as a support needs nanny. Our son is autistic, has high support needs, and is a multimodal communicator. He is full of personality, loves art, imaginative play, outdoor adventures, and staying active. We’re hoping to find someone who enjoys connecting with neurodivergent children, can follow his lead in play, and appreciates celebrating his unique strengths and communication style. We’re located in Evergreen (SW Calgary), have a smoke-free home, and share our space with one friendly cat. We would love to have someone start with us at the end of August. Pay: $25/hour What we’re looking for: * Experience and/or education supporting children with disabilities and neurodivergent children * A physically active person who can keep up with a busy and adventurous child * Current police check/vulnerable persons check * Valid driver’s licence is an asset (especially for community outings) We have two positions available, although our ideal situation would be finding one person interested in both. Position #1: Regular School Weeks Hours: * Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM * Wednesday: 11:15 AM – 5:15 PM Responsibilities include: * School pickup and a short 5-minute walk home * Preparing a snack * Engaging in play and activities based on our son’s interests * Supporting with diapering/toileting and daily routines Position #2: No School Days Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on non-instructional school days. Childcare would take place at our home and out in the community. Responsibilities include: * Light meal and snack preparation * Play, activities, and community adventures * Diapering/toileting support If you have a valid driver’s licence, outings to places like the zoo, Telus Spark, swimming pools, Big Box, or Calaway Park can be planned.
