Nanny Job in Barrie, Ontario

We are a warm family in Barrie preparing to welcome a new baby and are looking for an experienced, reliable nanny-house manager to support our family during the postpartum period. This is not a typical babysitting role. I will be recovering from birth with medically necessary physical restrictions, so we are looking for someone proactive, dependable, calm, and highly supportive who can help keep our household running smoothly while I focus on recovery and caring for our newborn. We have two young boys ages 2 and 4, and are looking for someone who is comfortable balancing childcare, household support, and meal preparation in a family-centered environment. Primary responsibilities include: • Caring for and engaging with our older children • Preparing simple healthy meals/snacks for the family • Kitchen resets, dishes, and maintaining tidy common areas • Laundry and household organization • Helping minimize physical strain and stair use for mom during recovery • Bringing baby to mom as needed during postpartum recovery • Helping maintain a calm, supportive home environment This role is ideal for: • An experienced career nanny • Former ECE/RECE • House manager • Postpartum family assistant • Someone with postpartum/newborn experience The ideal candidate is: • Extremely reliable and punctual • Proactive and able to anticipate household needs • Comfortable with cooking and light household management • Calm, warm, organized, and emotionally mature • Experienced with young children and newborn/postpartum family dynamics Details: • Temporary postpartum contract (approximately 4–8 weeks- with opportunity to continue on) • Likely 30–45 hours/week initially, tapering down gradually • Competitive hourly rate based on experience • Trial shifts prior to birth preferred • CPR certification and references required Job hours: Monday: 2pm- 8pm Tuesday: 9:00am- 4pm Wednesday: 2pm- 8pm Thursday: 12:00pm- 6:00pm Friday: 8:00am- 2pm Reliability is incredibly important to us as this support will play a major role in protecting postpartum recovery and helping our family transition smoothly during this season. *Please note that we also have a large golden doodle, so you must be comfortable with dogs.
