Nanny Job in Thornbury, Ontario

We are an active, social and easygoing family of 5. We have three boys age 10, 12 and 14. They can be very busy running off with friends and in all sorts of sports. At this age they are very independent but love having someone to shoot hoops with, play sports, go sledding or play board games with. We are avid travellers and love being in the outdoors! We live in Thornbury which is part of the Blue Mountains tourist area; it is a small town with access to a myriad of things to do. You will never be bored if you love the outdoors! We love being busy and active - whether that be mountain biking, skiing, sailing or setting out on a hike to explore the area. We also love to be social and host people at our home to swim and bbq or invite them to the ski or golf club. I am home with the kids and do part time work at home when they are at school. We mostly need a nanny to lend an extra hand around our busy home, stay with the boys when we are travelling and be an extended part of our family. Hours can be very flexible to support your goals - whether that be travelling, school etc. but please note - the hours are part time but you need to be available evenings, weekends etc Your role would include engaging the children in play, preparing some meals for them, cleaning up after them and light household cleaning (for example - vacuuming, sweeping, empty dishwasher, kids laundry, take out the garbage etc). Occasionally, when we are away you will have more tasks to take on, but most often we work as a team:) So it is essential that you are able to do overnights if you live out. We live in a large new family home only 100 metres from the lake and golf course. We have a pool/hot tub and sauna and you would have access to using a variety of sport equipment like paddle boards or cross country skis etc should you wish to enjoy the outdoors to their fullest.
