Nanny Job in Calgary, Alberta

We are a family of four with two children aged 2 and 4. We also have a 50 lb hypoallergenic Portuguese Water Dog. We’re located in Oakridge, in the SW of Calgary. We are looking for a mature and responsible individual with at least 2 years of experience to care for our children starting April, 2020. The position is approximately 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, Monday to Friday. We provide paid holidays (3 weeks), sick days, and a competitive salary. We also offer a very comfortable home situated right beside a large green space and playground. The Glenmore Reservoir is within walking distance where there are lots of walking trails, playgrounds and a splash park. We will make a vehicle available, if required, to partake in additional activities with the girls. Your main responsibility, first and foremost, is to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for our children. We do not let our children watch television as we would rather see them engaged with puzzles, games and crafts. Our oldest daughter also likes to work on pre-kindergarten activity books and flash cards. Additional duties include light housekeeping (keeping the playroom, living room and kitchen tidy), kids laundry, preparing a nutritious plant-based breakfast and lunch as well as prepping food for dinner. Current CPR certification, drivers license with a clean abstract, references and criminal record check with vulnerable sector search are required. Must be fluent in English. Non-smokers only.
