Afternoon Help Needed for Busy Family of 5

Location: Aurora

Start date: January 18 2021

Hours: Mon-Fri, 2pm-7pm

Duration: Permanent. Through summer --... school year and at least into summer 2022. Lots of time off with a minimum of 2 weeks unpaid vacation and holidays.

Rate: 18-20, depending on experience and qualifications

Qualifications: G driver’s license; Experience tutoring, menu planning, cooking, light housekeeping

Description: Myself and my husband work full-time and we are in need of assistance with light housework, cooking dinner, picking up our two younger children, 10 and 12, from school and tutoring our youngest, 10. Weekdays from 2pm - 7pm daily.

Qualified candidates must have a G drivers’ license, experience tutoring young children and the ability to menu plan healthy dinners for a family of 5. Your own vehicle is preferred, however we can arrange to give you access to one of ours as required.

We are mindful of COVID-19 and are in a small bubble consisting of our elderly parents and a couple friends. Mask-wearing will be required for the time-being to ensure everyone’s safety.

Our youngest, 10 in Grade 5, has a slight learning disability and requires a firm, supportive and engaging tutor. The primary role of the tutor is to assist him in getting his homework done and carrying out remedial learning activities to get him caught up to his grade level in reading and mathematics. He will require assistance every day after school for 1.5 hours.

Your work day would look like:

2:00pm - Arrive to the house and spend 50 minutes doing light housework, grocery shopping and/or prepping for dinner.
2:50pm - Leave, by car, to pick up the children from school, a 15 mins drive away.
3:30pm - Return home and prepare the children a light snack.
4:00pm - Tutor our youngest for 1.5 hours.
5:30pm - Prepare a healthy dinner for a family of 5 and clean up.
7:00pm - Depart.
