Hi there my name is Roxanne and I love children! I am interviewing for a full-time mother's helper, childcare provider, baby sitter or Nanny position. I am currently in Jamaica, BWI. My aim is to apply my abilities an experience in childcare to help you and your family. I already have a Canadian visa, but I require sponsorship. Here's a description of my skills and what I will do for you: Firstly, I will care for your child or children in a gentle and loving way. I will take care of nutritious meal preparation, drop-off and pick-up from school, children's crafting and play time, light cleaning, laundry, date night supervising, and any other duties that will help the smooth flow of your family's day to day activities. Regarding my history, I have years of experience as a mother first and caregiver. I am a wife and mother of two boys (16 and 11) and I have been working with children for over 20 years in different settings (formal education system, private educational services sector, baby sitting for family members, caring for my own children and caring for children in children’s church and summer camps). I believe that children should grow and develop in a nurturing environment where they can explore and learn as they play, while being guided by their parents and caregivers. I respect and follow the preference of parents in all aspects. Family culture is important and so I carefully observe and follow the traditions and culture of the family. In the past, I worked for an Association for the Deaf in Jamaica. There, I learned Jamaican Sign Language (JSL), which is similar to American Sign Language (ASL), at the intermediate level. I was also exposed to the various learning styles. These skills are transferable and I intend to use them. I have experience taking care of multiples and caring for kids for extended periods while the parent worked week-long shifts. I am creative, resourceful, hardworking and adaptable.
