We had the pleasure of having Carlee as our nanny for our two-year-old boy and one-year-old girl over an approximate one year period. We would have loved to keep Carlee, however, we had a third and no longer required full-time help. Carlee was amazing during this transition period, easily managing two toddlers and a newborn at once while we overlapped for one month. We should also mention Carlee did a fantastic job looking after our eight-year-old energetic golden doodle the whole time as well. Carlee took such great care of our kids and we knew we could always trust her. She constantly had new ideas, games, indoor and outdoor activities, and meals for them to try. She was a calming presence in an otherwise vibrant household given the dynamics of very young children alongside two working parents. She was reliable, always on time, and went above and beyond to ensure everyone was happy. We loved that Carlee always encouraged outdoor learning and no matter the weather had our kids outside getting fresh air and burning off their toddler energy. She also would fit in grocery shopping, walking our dog, prepping meals for our family, and light cleaning into the busy days. Carlee followed instructions and supported our parenting methods while also providing advice and ideas on things such as how to manage a toddler’s emotions and consequences that would resonate from some meltdowns. Carlee also worked with us over the COVID-19 period while our whole family was at home. She was a pleasure to be around and great company in addition to being respectful while we were on conference calls and all using the same space. It is worth noting that we moved into a newly renovated house the month that Carlee started with us and that we are a little crazy about keeping things tidy. Carlee somehow managed to put up with us and keep everything in order while letting the kids be creative and play freely at the same time. Aside from all of the great things that Carlee did to make our house run smoothly, our favourite and most important thing about her was that she really cared about our kids. It made it easy to leave them when we were going to work every day knowing that Carlee would treat them the same way that we did. She was affectionate and cared deeply about their happiness in the same way that a parent does. We would highly recommend Carlee.
