Nanny Job in Mississauga, Ontario

We are a professional, and caring couple looking for a caring, responsible and experienced child caregiver to care for our three children; Girls age 5 and 7, Boy, 11 with Downs Syndrome. Our son is non verbal and is not 100% toilet trained. He requires prompting for toileting but is capable of walking, feeding himself and many other things. We live in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance from a playground and parks. We are looking for a caregiver with at least one years experience in child care. Experience caring Down Syndrome is a great asset. Also, you must love children and be mature, reliable, trustworthy and patient. We are a non-smoking household with one dog. Child Care is our priority. We are looking for a nanny who will fit in well with our family and who will look forward to spending time with our children. This is a full time position, and due to the nature of our employment there is flexibility required in the working hours (early morning). Hours during the school year. Monday to Friday ( starting 5.45 am- will discuss further) totaling 40 hrs per week. Hours during the summer months will be Monday to Thursday, 5:45 am to 4:45 am totaling 44 hrs per week. You will be provided a minimum of two days off a week in addition to two weeks of paid vacation a year. Work Setting: Employer's home; Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment We will pay $11.55 per an hour and are willing to provide live in facilities if required by you. Over 44 hours will be compensated at 1.5 of your wage Requirements A Certificate in Child CPR and First Aid will also be highly regarded. We would require proven childcare reference. Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Further training in child care and development such as a formal nanny training program, early childhood classes and/or in-service training will be highly regarded.
