If you have any questions at all, do not hesitate to send me an email! *If it is a full-time position, I am willing to move to where you are for the summer* I've been working with children my whole life as I come from a fairly big family (over 30 cousins). I was a camp counselor for two years through the Army Cadet Program. The first year I was located in my hometown designated camp in Gagetown, New Brunswick. My second year I was asked to be a counselor at the camp in Whitehorse, Yukon which was a culture shock, but one of the best experiences of my life. I've also been to Jamaica on a volunteer service and established an after school program for children who struggled with reading and writing. I also spent time talking to girls from the ages of eight to sixteen who were in a shelter learning how to adapt to life on their own. Another place I visited was an orphanage where mentally disabled children were kept. During my time in Jamaica our group of six people also took donations to each of these places I visited of clothes, shoes, books and toys for the children.
