I'm a young 60 and even though my arthritic knee will cause me a hassle once in a while, I'm comfortable with children and they appear to be comfortable with me. Children have an innate ability to know when people like them or if they're just faking it. My own son is 19 and his friends still call me Mama Kerr - ours was the home to hang, a place where you were safe and well fed! But also a home where rules and respect for others were the order of the day. More than that, it was a place where they knew they were wanted and loved.
