I have used this site many many years ago, and it was very successful, in fact 7 years later we are almost like family. The reason for my return is both for employment, try something different and obviously my love for children. It is important for me to work as a team with the parents, as I found last time that quite a lot of my time was in fact spent with the kids. While I realize that you are the employer and I the employee, working as team is so critical when working with kids in this type of environment. I continue to babysit for people who I have known a long time. My experience ranges from 1-6 kids at a time as well as various ages. I have been left with newborns that also included other siblings. I worked often with little or no direction and always went above and beyond my duties. At times I was also given the responsibility of of allowing to drive the kids around so that we were able to take part actively in sports teams, community events as well as other great opportunities outside of the city. My experience does include working as a respite worker for kids with various disabilities.
