I love working with infants and toddlers and take seriously the responsibility of caring for children. I truly believe that providing respectful, loving and thoughtful care to children is one of the best things we can do to secure a good future for them, and for society. I am a strong believer in positive approaches to childcare. I believe in setting developmentally appropriate limits for children, but I do not practice traditional "punishment". I respect other parenting choices but I work best with parents who are on the same page as me about these things! I'm always happy to talk about parenting philosophy, so feel free to start a conversation. :) I have babysat casually for over 20 years, and am the oldest of 4 children. Most recently I spent the past 2 years providing childcare primarily for toddler age children for about 15 hours a week. I also have experience with infants. I have a masters degree in counselling psychology and find that this informs my work with children a great deal, as I am always focused on what is best for their emotional and social development.
