I have worked summer camps with children 5-16years which involved instructing climbing skills, field games, swimming and easy crafts. I have baby-sat for families with children under the age of 7. I would bring crafts and walk them to the playground, put them down for naps and prepare meals. Also, I have experience bathing and putting the children to bed. I have never taken care of more than 3 children at a time. I volunteer with Alberta Health Services with teens who live with a chronic condition by facilitating a program of self management. Also at the Steadward centre implementing activity programs to children who have or experience a mental or physical disability. As well, I am currently working on research discovering how physical acitivity influences nerve activity in people who have chronic pain. My degree has helped me realize how physical activity and exercise help prevent and treat multiple health conditions. When I am finished I would like to get a job in the health care system; my dream is working for the WHO.
