Nanny in Oakville, Ontario

I have worked as a nanny for the past few summers and love it so much! In addition, I also worked as a summer camp counsellor for a few summers before that. As a nanny, spending so much quality time with families and kids makes for such a special bond! I take so much pride in what I do and really care for the kids as if they were my own. I have lots of experience taking care of kids of all ages, right from birth pretty much! As well, I am not intimidated by lots of kids running around; I was a nanny for two rambunctious 6 year old twin boys and their baby sister. Most importantly, I would like you to know that I genuinely love taking care of and playing with kids! I put a lot of myself into making sure they are safe and happy, but also into teaching them things about the world and about how to play together and interact with others! Also, I want them to feel like I am always available to listen to them and that I value them. It\'s important to me that I teach \"my\" kids how to be caring and respectful little humans :) I am available from the beginning of June until the end of August. Nanny, duties included: preparing meals, planning daily outings and play dates, playing with and reading to children, changing clothes and diapers, putting children down for naps, performing moderate housework, disciplining children according to parents' instruction. Summer Camp Counsellor, duties included: maintaining a safe play environment, communicating with children's guardians about daily activities, behaviours, etc., created appropriate lesson plans, supervised and engaged in pool activities. Occasional Babysitter, duties included: supervising play activities, taking children to park, playing outside/inside together, preparing children for bedtime, handled behavioural issues. Volunteer Camp Instructor at Indian School, duties included: facilitating classroom games and learning activities, assisted in teaching English.
