Nanny in Newmarket, Ontario

I have posted Cover letter below. I am in school Monday and Tuesday however I am interested in working the remainder of the week and weekend. I have spent the majority of my part time jobs working with children from the age of 6-16, however I have worked with children younger throughout my placement at various camps. I have been certified in NLS (National Lifeguard Society), have kept my CPR current and recently I\'ve been certified in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. Please review my credentials below. Cover Letter: I am currently enrolled in the firefighter, Pre-Service Education and Training program at Seneca College, scheduled to graduate August 2014. Throughout the program I have been educated on several policies and procedures and legislations amongst the fire profession, including Occupational Health and Safety Act, Emergency Response Guide, and this upcoming semester we will be educated on the Ontario Fire Code. Throughout the course of this program I have further improved my ability to work as a team in various scenarios through effectively communicating with my team, in addition to working independently when necessary. I have volunteered at several events hosted by Central York Fire Services including the Aurora and Newmarket Open House, Boot Drives and the more recent Euchre Tournament for Habitat for Humanity. The volunteer experience provided me the opportunity to professionally deal with the public while educating them and promoting fire safety material. I have been employed for the past seven years in various positions of responsibility with the Town of Newmarket’s Park and Recreational Summer Camp Programs. As a councillor, I gained many skills which I have been able to apply to working with children in general. Working with a variety of children with different exceptionalities as an Inclusion facilitator, has allowed me to see the world through a different lens. I was employed as a director for two years which gave me many opportunities to deal with many different situations and people. I am proud to be part of an organization that provides quality programming to the children of the community. I have worked as a Kiosk Receptionist for the Town of Newmarket for five years, where I continued to improve my interpersonal communication and public relations skills through delivering several services the Town offered where I learned to work with money, registrations and withdrawals. I have worked a variety of positions within the Town of Newmarket's Summer Camps. I worked as a camp councillor for two years, where I worked in a ratio of 1 to 8 children at general camps. After working as a general councillor I became an inclusion facilitator where I worked one on one for a week at a time working with children with variety of disabilities. I worked as an inclusion facilitator for two years, I worked two years as a camp director, supervising a specific camp including special need camps, and general camps. I made day schedules, organizing games, crafts and songs for the children to participate in. After my years working at the Town of Newmarket Camps I moved to B.C. to work at a specialty special needs camp for a summer. I worked with children at a one to two ratio, with varying disabilities.
