Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

I have just moved to Toronto from Ireland. I am a 24 year old female college graduate with a keen interest in learning and teaching. I would be more than happy to discuss any extra duties you would have in mind or particular requests for yourself and your family, and I am really looking forward to hearing from you! :) I am the eldest of 4 children. My younger siblings are now 18, 13 and 12. My younger brother (13 years old) has Down Syndrome. I also have a lot of younger cousins ranging from the ages of 17 to 4. One of my cousins is also autistic. I have experience with special needs children through caring for my brother and cousins, and I am comfortable caring for people with special needs. I have worked as a babysitter and child-minder for 12 years. I have babysat for many families in my neighbourhood, and worked as a fulltime child-minder for a family I was recommended to for the summer. My usual duties have included doing homework with the children, preparing lunches and dinners for the children and extended family, light housework, taking the children to and from school and extra-curricular activities, and generally entertaining the children by playing with them and bringing them on day trips such as to the zoo or park etc. In addition to this I have been responsible for keeping bedtime routines and normal chores so ensuring the children tidy away after themselves, brush their teeth, put away their clothes at bedtime and any other little things that arise in their day to day care. I also worked for a company called Princess Parlour which catered for young girls birthday parties. Ages ranged from 3 to 12 and the parties varied in size from 6 children to 32. I have experience with young children and babies as well as older children.
