I have international work experience with children working in public schools and daycare centers in Ghana, Uganda, Mexico and Korea. As well as a wealth of cultural knowledge and experience, I bring a playful sense of curiosity and self exploration through the arts. I continually challenge children to explore their expressive capabilities through the arts since my educational background is in Art and Education. I love watching children grow and learn and aim to instill in them a sense of confidence and pride as well as a sense of awareness and empathy for others. The \"treat others as you would want to be treated\" mentality. I worked as a Native English Speaking Teacher in a Public Elementary school in Seoul, South Korea for 2 years. My regular children were in Grade 5 & 6. I also worked with varying age groups, running summer/ winter art & culture/english focused camps with children as young as 6 up to 13 years of age. I was in charge of classes of 24-30 students during weekdays leading lessons in English education, facilitating art workshops, dance workshops, cultural education and activities and classes on film making and media. I am also an uncle of 9 nieces and nephews of varying ages from 1-12 years old (2 of whom are autistic). I often spend days at my brothers homes caring for their children to give them a much needed break. I am proficient in all aspects of childcare including changing diapers, feeding schedules and meal preparation, ensuring nap schedules are followed, and designing activities that are both fun and educative based on the child's areas of interest.
