Hello, I am Stacey Mills I am so happy you are considering me to care for your child. I love children and I am a friendly and loving childcare provider with over twenty five years experience. I love helping children learn about the world. I enjoy playing games, singing, going to the park, beach, library and other places where children can learn while using their imaginations. I have experience with a variety of ages and abilities. i have experience with Adhd, Autism, and Fas. I started out babysitting, then did fostering which was challenging but I really enjoyed it . I took a lot of classes and learned a lot about children and how to help them deal with challenges in a positive way. I learned to be more patient as well. Experience I worked for Margaret Friesen, caring for her daughter, Christina Friesen from 2008 when she was six years old until she was about eight years old including getting her off to school, picking up from school, snacks, entertainments and meals. Also cared for her during summertime's and went to Parksville beach, parks, beaches, and did crafts, taught responsibilities and social behaviors. I worked for Esther Holland, caring for her son beginning when has was two in 2011 until 2013 when he was five years of age, and went to kindergarten, We attended strong start, and also went to parks, and beaches. I enjoyed taking him to petsmart and learning about the different animals, their habitats, and other facts about them. I worked for Kiera Larsen caring for her two daughters Mackalya, and Mackenzie beginning with the were four and six years old 2014 to 2015. We enjoyed the water parks in Nanaimo as well as the beach. we also enjoyed socializing with other children. I really enjoyed their excitement to go outdoors and learn about the environment. I worked for Sarah Swain beginning in December of 2015, caring for her daughter Myla. I continued caring for Myla occasionally and we loved to play outside. She was a very active child so I enjoyed coming up with more creative ways to keep her active and engaged. I worked for Dr Zara Bellows caring for her five month old son Theo until he was around nine months. It was very exhausting to care for such a young baby but very enjoyable as well. I very much enjoyed rocking and cuddling him to sleep, as well as going for walks with him in his stroller. I was sad they moved away. 2016 I worked for Mcfd. doing respite overnight or sometimes over a week. 2017 -20... I became a foster parent myself. For the first year and half I did emergency care for children to stay with me until they found a more permanent home. This required me to be flexible and change plans quickly. I then fostered a four year old for seven months. It was difficult to say goodbye. May 2021 until May 2023 I cared for my three nieces. May 2023 I cared for Kirsten and Maxes baby daughter Stella from May 2023 until July 2023 I am looking to care for a child or children who I can care for. Thanks for considering me. Stacey
