I am incredibly passionate about children. I take great enjoyment in spending my time with them doing every day activities. I have had experiences where I have taken care of two or three children at a time all under ten years old. I spent my time playing with the children, completing household duties, preparing meals, preparing children for extracurricular activities and helping with the completion of school work. I have always taken great pride in the satisfaction that accompanies the progress of the children I interact with. I have also taken time to tutor children with school work. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding through the ways in which the student improves their school grades accompanied by the feeling of increased confidence in relation to school the student achieves. I believe that children are incredibly unique and feel the desire to express themselves through various ways. As a nanny, I strive to act as a positive role model for these children as they further develop their personal and physical growth. I am a fun, positive, out-going individual who loves to spend time outdoors, photography, reading, painting, drawing, and playing sports. My experience taking care of children has all been volunteer. I have cared for children under 10. My duties included making the children meals and helping them get ready for extracurricular activities. I have also tutored children in which I spend my time helping the students become familiar with difficult concepts they have been learning in school. In addition, I have tutored children and spent time in a classroom setting with them. These volunteer experiences have provided me with the opportunity to work with children and have challenged me to create an enjoyable learning situation for students who struggle in school. I believe this challenge has enabled me to strive for student success and to help build their confidence in their ability to achieve. Tutoring has also allowed me to improve my communication skills with students and with parents. It has allowed me to become a positive role model for the individuals I interact with.
