Nanny in Calgary, Alberta

About me: I was born in Germany into a very outgoing and friendly family. We moved to Canada when I was 8 and decided to start a different adventure here. My hobbies include hiking, swimming, sports, reading, and doing crafts. I love spending time outdoors. In the warm weather I love to spend time by the river and in the winter I love to go snowboarding in the mountains. I am friendly, outgoing and very energetic. I love teaching children through laugh, play, music and communication. I have my infant first aid and CPR with Aed, Driver license with clean driving record And a responsible adult certificate. I have been involved as a youth councilor and I have volunteer experience working with children with special needs. I look towards attending workshops and accessing literature to further my education on these and other relative subjects I have great references upon request. About my work experience: I started looking after kids when I was 15 years old. I would supervise them going swimming, take them to the playground and do lots of arts and crafts with them. With age, I started to work with younger kids and really enjoyed it. I have lots of experience with children from 3 months to 2 1/2 years old. 2 years ago, I decided to visit Germany as an adult. I ended up staying for one year and found a live out position as a nanny for a family in cologne. The children were 10 months and 2 years old. My job duties included preparing snacks, lunch and sometimes dinner for the children, giving baths, changing diapers and dressing them in weather appropriate clothes. I created a great routine with spending lots of time outside and having them take their naps at the right time. I also worked for families as a nanny on call. Here my job duties included, feeding the babies or children, putting them down for naps or the night and lots of playing games, singing, and crafts. Besides working as a nanny on call for the past years, I have also 4 years of work experience in a day care setting. Here, my job duties included looking after large groups of children between 3 and 12 years old. Doing headcount, supervise safe play, communicate with other employees and parents. I have also worked previously in sales, customer service, security, and child care.
