Nanny in Ardrossan

I am currently pursuing, part-time distance, my diploma in Early Childhood Education through Northern Lakes College. I currently possess my Level 1 (Childcare assistant) certification, but am enrolled in courses for this coming fall that will support me in achieving my Level 2. Previous experience includes working as a case manager for the Hope Mission, and as a volunteer for childrens church, Big Brother Big Sisters of Edmonton, and Water Ambassadors of Canada. As a Case Manager with the Hope Mission, I am currently a member of the Leadership Team, responsible for making decisions regarding clients, policies, curriculum, staff, special events, and any changes to facility management. I have supervised and mentored three interns with our program. As well as teaching classes, I also develop curriculum and lesson plans for the facilitys core programming. This position requires excellent time management skills, decision-making abilities, and communication skills. As a leader with childrens church, I am responsible for organizing activities, teaching in a fun and stimulating environment, leading both large and small groups, and caring for the general needs and well-being of each child. With Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton, I worked one-on-one with children involved in the homework-help program at the Africa center, and supported them in their studies. Volunteering with Water Ambassadors of Canada has provided opportunities to work with children in orphanages, schools, and families in the local communities. We taught health and hygiene to larger groups, as well as developed relationships with individuals through activities and play. The bottom line is: I love kids. One day, I would like to open my own dayhome, once I have children of my own. In the meantime, I would love to work with kids, support their development, and have a fun, challenging, and rewarding job!! Educational background in Early Childhood Education.
