Nanny in Toronto, Ontario

I am an experienced, responsible, and enthusiastic young woman, who has found enjoyment, challenge, and fulfillment in multiple previous childcare positions. I have maintained positive relationships with all the families for whom I have worked in the past. Children under my care enjoy the security of structure, and the rhythms of familiar routines. I love reading to children, encouraging energetic outdoor activities, and engaging their imaginations in creative play. I have experience in tutoring, and am fluent in French. I am looking for a job which will start as soon as possible, and go until late August. I live in the East end of Toronto. References available upon request. I have grown up as the oldest of four, so that was my first continuous experience of childcare. I have also been babysitting for multiple neighborhood families since the age of 12, when I took a babysitting course to gain basic formal qualifications. I have also worked as a nanny for two different families for 8 months. One family had a 10 year-old and an infant under one year old, and the other family had three children, aged 8-12. In my time in childcare, duties with infants and young children have included everything from general care (feeding, bathing, dressing, changing, etc.), to putting the children to bed, to entertaining and playing with them. Duties with school-aged children have included pick-up from school, feeding, helping them clean up, helping with homework, putting them to bed, and also doing activities and playing together. I particularly enjoy going outside with the children I look after, and do that as often as possible.
