I am a young, energetic female who is looking for full time employment. I believe every child needs a positive role model and an equal opportunity to learn through play. I’m a recent Child and Youth Worker graduate. I have 3 years of experience working with children in a YMCA summer day camp setting, ages 4 - 12. During my time with the camps, I provided children with a positive, inclusive environment and implemented activities throughout the day. I was also employed with a daycare centre for 2 years working with children ages 2 - 4 as well as being a supervisor for the school age program ages 5 - 12. My duties there were to provide a safe and healthy playing to learn environment as well as toileting and early learning tasks. My latest and current employment is with the school board as a Supply Educational Assistant working with children with disadvantages and behavioural problems ages 5 - 17. What I can offer throughout the day is play-based learning activities, creative art, exploration through sensory materials, reading opportunities, some tutoring, organized games, enjoying the outdoors in many ways, and having a fantastic summer!
