Nanny in Montreal, Quebec

I am a well travelled Australian girl who has a natural affinity with children. I am also a trained chef, but I have worked as a nanny in Paris several times. I come from a family of educators (my mother and grandfather are/were both teachers and directors of schools and my eldest sister is also now a teacher) so I was raised with a strong sense of the importance of childhood and the role adults play in the lives of children. I grew up the third eldest child of a family of six children. And started babysitting as soon as I entered high school. My mother had her own preschool which she grew into a school when I was in my teens. After my year abroad as an exchange student in Finland at 17 where I lived with three different families with children of various ages, I went home to Australia to study cooking. I would sometimes sub in as a teachers aide in my mothers school and also co-taught a cooking program for 7 to 12 yr olds for a semester. In 2009 I moved to Paris where I was a live out nanny for a family of three children. two girls of 7 and 15 yrs and a boy of 9. Duties included picking up the children from school, helping with homework, cooking and some shopping for the family as a whole, getting the children to and from their activities, assisting with their English, some light housework and of course playing with the children! In the summer of 2012 again in Paris I was a live in nanny for a family with 3 boys, one born while I was with them, a 3 year old and a 4 year old. Duties included cooking, cleaning up after the children, playing with them and taking them to the park and other activities, supervising bath times and bedtimes, ironing the children's clothes and making sure their rooms were in order. I also set up the kitchen and children's area as the family moved house when I was with them.
