I am a very outgoing and enthusiastic person who enjoys working with children as I believe that I can learn as much or more from them as they can from me. I believe that children can thrive when placed in an environment that is stimulating, developmentally appropriate, and full of learning experiences in their everyday lives. I have had a variety of experiences with children throughout my life. When I was in highschool I participated in working as a Counselor in Training, Counselor, and Art Director at a summer camp. I have helped with the Take A Break program at our local church on saturday mornings which allowed parents in the community to drop off their kids for a few hours to run errands. I have helped out with Hockey camps in my town with children ranging from age seven to twelve. I have worked for the Children's Aid Society as a summer camp counselor for their summer camp which provided pick up and drop off of children each day, meals, field trips to water parks, libraries, museums, and the beach, as well as weekly swimming. I am currently working for Family Services as a Support Worker, as well as Supply for London Bridge Child Care Services at one of their locations as a Supply Educator. I have worked with children ranging in age from 3 months old to thirteen years old. The duties that I have fulfilled through all my experiences include meal preparation, toileting/diapering, emotional and physical care, creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum and experiences, active programs indoor and outdoors, and making sure that the children's overall heatlth and well-being was being met.
