I spent my career as an RN looking after the mentally handicapped. I also have a brother-in-law who is a quadriplegic. I have given him care hundred of times over the years. My last job was giving respite care for a very severe physically handicapped baby boy. I did this for 14 months until his passing in January, 2014. I have 4 children of my own (2 girls, 2 boys), and 10 grandchildren. As a dad I was very much hands-on, and involved with every aspect of their lives.
