Nanny in Kelowna, British Columbia

I am a professional cake decorator in Ottawa. I am looking for a change and new experience, and am moving to Kelowna at the end of April. I am a very creative and energetic individual, yet I am very responsible without being overbearing. Children show a lot of respect for the fact that we can have fun, do what needs to be done, and be safe while treating them as an equal. They look forward to having me around as much as I look forward to spending my day with them. I cared for those three boys for years until they moved to Edmonton. To this day, I still travel from Ottawa to Edmonton to see them as often as I can, which is not nearly often enough. Over the years, their family has become a part of my family. Part of the reason I chose to move to Kelowna was to be able to more easily visit them. I see the impact I made in their lives, as well as the impact they have made in mine, and can therefore see how working with children is so rewarding. I cared for three young boys on a regular basis, aged 0-6. They were brothers, so I cared for all three at the same time, aside from the odd occasional where childcare was needed for only one of them. Duties included preparing meals and feeding them, light housework and tidying up after them, getting them dressed for the day, and ready for bed, keeping them busy and amused in an interactive manner and taking them on excursions for walks, bike rides and to the park.
