I’m an education assistant for the Limestone District School Board and have worked as one for the past 5 years. I have over 15 years of experience in child care, and I’ve worked with children from all walks of life and with many different challenges and exceptionalities. The care that I wish to provide will be very ‘School readiness’ based. Name recognition, letter and number practise, circle time and sharing are all very important aspects to help children thrive right away in kindergarten. Play is very important as well, and friendship, caring and respect will be themes that are always incorporated into our day. Each week will have a different theme that incorporates many different aspects, such as ‘science’ ‘animals’ and ‘around the world’ Meals and snacks will be provided and always delicious and nutritious!! It is my plan to start a fruit and vegetable garden in the back yard next summer and have the children be readily involved in planting and learning about food and nutrition. The menu for the week will be emailed out to parents on a two week rotation. We have a very large and fenced in backyard that will be full of toys! There is also a park close by that is an easy walk. The fee is $40/day per child and that includes all meals and snacks. The hours of operation for the daycare will be Monday- Friday 730am - 5pm I’m located in Collins Bay on Bath Road.
