I am a friendly & outgoing individual who enjoys learning new skills, and am a clear communicator in both French & English. I am considered a quick learner and I am service minded, always looking to ensure that those I am working for (both customers and superiors) are pleased, and in general I am very responsible to fulfill all the requirements expected of me. I have many years of experience with children. Throughout my own teenage years I volunteered as a nursery worker and Sunday school teacher at church, and currently do so as well. I have also worked at a children\'s camp for the past two years and had volunteered there for 3 years prior to employment. I have also been a piano and voice teacher for 4 and a half years now, where I work with children and teach on a weekly basis. I have always been involved in children\'s work in some area of my life, not for convenience sake but because I, like many, genuinely enjoy spending my time with them and learning from them. WORK EXPERIENCE Private Nanny, Malton ON June 2014 to August 2014 Was responsible for the full-time care of two children aged 3 and 8, coordinating their activities both in and away from the home, provided an activity schedule, prepared meals, provided guidance and discipline along with light housekeeping duties. Ottawa Music Academy, Ottawa, ON Music Teacher September 2012 to present Teaching students at various levels from beginner to advanced: from RCM materials for both piano and vocal to popular repertoire. Duties include lesson planning, parent-teacher discussions, weekly grading, coaching and directing of students. Working within a team-based environment with co-leaders, I was responsible for developing, coordinating, and activity planning for children ages 5 through 12. Working within a budget I assisted in the execution of all daily programs, which included games, dance and music programs, sports, away-day trips, cooking, and clean up. Working toward development of the children's experience within the program, we were challenged to engage them in activities that encompassed both fun and learning, and building new skills. Large group supervision on field trips, and working toward making each day at camp fun and exciting for everyone, was our end goal. For Children’s church, I have assisted in the coordination and implementation of children programs, games, and studies during weekly services.
