Nanny in Carleton Place, Ontario

I am a fit, active, bilingual RECE grad and former ECE Instructor. I have a BSc degree in Nutrition/Kinesiology, a Recreation Therapy degree and another as a Social Worker. I am a certified Forest School Practitioner and have a diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services. I have run a licensed daycare centre and a home-based daycare for 23 years, as well as raised 3 of my own children plus a dozen adopted/foster special needs children. I moved my sought-after nature-based childcare program to the Carleton Place area (K7C 2S8) so I can help out with my twin grandsons and their little brother (now #4 on the way!). I operate, along with another RECE two side-by-side licensed home daycares. (so the CWELCC funding applies - meaning fees are currently under $24/day full time and will drop to $10/day in 2025). I am looking to work with families who expect great things from a caregiver, want their children to be active and outdoors, exploring their world and community. I have had a stellar career as an Educator, Manager and contributor to community child and youth services. I have significant inventory of the resources and equipment (1000's of books, creative and educational materials...) to use to engage your children and enrich our time spent together. Owner/Operator of licensed daycare for 23 years. Youth group home and Parent Therapist for 10 years. Ontario Early Years Centre Manager and Early Literacy Specialist, Mom of 3, Foster Mom of many, including children with special needs and high behavioural needs. We are two RECEs who run cooperating licensed home daycares side-be-side (my duplex) in Carleton Place K7C 2S8. I am open to extended hours, please discuss. Our program is largely outdoors and is nature-based, our location includes a large, natural yard and trails, parks, the library... all a block or two away.
