I am a 20 year old currently in my second year of the Child and Youth Worker Program at Algonquin College. I am presently completing a Placement at Regina Public School, which has assisted me in gaining experience in this field. During my Placement I worked with various students in the primary grades. I developed and implemented behaviour programs, assisted with academics, and developed strategies in order for these students to function in a classroom environment. I also helped support other students within the school with social and emotional difficulties. I demonstrate sound judgement and practical decision-making. My communication skills are clear and effective in both verbal and written form. I have been able to develop positive relationships with both the students and the staff.
