I am 27 years old and am currently working as a Rehabilitation Support Worker part time. I am looking for part time work to fill up my schedule. I plan on going back to school to complete my Masters of Social work next year, and with to continue working part time during the school year. Inclusion Counsellor Free To Be Me - Barrie, Alliston & Orillia, Ontario Winter 2006 - Winter 2007 -Managed to support and assist multiple sized groups of children with special needs over four week programs. -This includes assisted children in developing fundamentals of hockey, soccer, basketball and baseball. Also, created opportunities to practice fine motor skills through crafts and art. Inclusion Counsellor Playball - Barrie & Orillia, Ontario Fall 2006 Winter 2007 -Supported a seven year old boy with autism while he learned the fundamentals of hockey, soccer, basketball and baseball. -Helped him to develop social skills with other children. Mediator Horseshoe Day Camp - Horseshoe, Ontario -Supported a child with autism during camp activities, swimming, social activities, and washroom routines. Was additional one on one support for the child in most circumstances. Volunteer/Other Easter Seals Camp - Squamish, British Columbia -Volunteered as a camp counsellor for children with mental and physical disabilities. -Provided safe, fun activities in an environment where the focus is on abilities, not disabilities. -Assisted campers with daily living such as personal care, supervising outings and assisting in daily routines for each client.
