Hey Parents! My name is Allie and I'm a mother of a 6 yr old boy who is currently attending Walter Moberly Elementary. I have lots of spare time while he is at school and would love to welcome 1-2 children in my home. **UPDATE - I am looking to build up hours for an ECE application. Note that this opportunity is for career advancement and not just something I'd like to do on the side :) ** Here's a little bit about my family and I: * I am a wellness advocate and a new yogi. * I encourage positivity and open mindedness with my son * We are big on communication and addressing our "feelings" * We are not a yelling family. We prefer to sit down together and discuss things in a calm manner * We pride education and are constantly doing activities to further his young mind * We LOVE having adventures. Rain or shine, there is exploring to be had :) * We are creative. Music and art play a big role in our life. Currently my son's outlet is lego! * I treat each child as my own. We are a very empathetic family and we believe in building strong connections. Why Your Child Will Love It Here: * We have a big rule on limiting screen time. This isn't one of those places where your child will be stuck in front of a TV * A schedule will be made to accustom your child to structure * An outing every day. This may be weather permitting. I do own a vehicle, but I am okay with public transportation :) * Fun, new activities! This could include: kids yoga, arts & crafts, music time and more. I'd like to create theme's each week! * Additional activities can be arranged at the parents cost. A class at the community center for example. MEALS: All snacks and meals can be provided by me. I am open to accommodating food restrictions as well. HOURS: My hours are very flexible. I am open to your needs :) I do prefer to provide care in my household. It is the top floor of a house with lots of natural light, space and right across from Walter Moberly Elementary School. *Note we are not restricted to my home only. We are more than happy to do your home as well* RATES: My rates are very flexible as well. Depending on the amount of care needed, we'll need to discuss the rates based on hourly or monthly.
