Nanny Job in Toronto, Ontario

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROVIDER / GOVERNESS Busy family who travels outside of Canada 6 months of the year, is seeking a professional child care provider / early childhood education professional to travel with them and be responsible for the care, wellbeing and education of their young children. In this role, the candidate will be required to: EDUCATIONAL: • Supplement the child/ren’s education and schooling · Coordinate with and ensure that curriculum is being met and exceeded · Maintain education while travelling and/or away from school · Provide educational activities and implement creative play · Take child/ren to playgroup / nursery / school as required GENERAL · Tend to the physical and emotional care of the child/ren · Support and provide activities for the all-round development of the children · Communicate with parents on all aspects of the care of their child/ren · Ensure that the children are eating well balanced and nutritious meals (meal preparation required only on occasion) · Engage the children in 1-2 hours of outdoor physical activity per day (extra-curricular activities include; swimming, tennis, soccer, hockey, snow skiing) · Tidy the nursery, bedroom, playroom and other areas agreed with the parents · Tidy the accommodation provided for the nanny · Responsible for maintaining household equipment relating to the care of the child/ren · Able to use all equipment related to the care of the child/ren e.g. buggies and car seats · Frequent travel with the child/ren and preparing for holidays, weekend visits, etc. · Take child/ren on outings appropriate to their age and stage of development · Prepare for special occasions such as birthday parties · Care for child/ren when they are sick and administering medicine(s) as per parental instruction · Other tasks as deemed appropriate by the parents Valid Passport required Requests for references and criminal background check will occur.
