Nanny Job in Vancouver, British Columbia

Hi there,

My family and another family are looking for a caring nanny to join our baby bubble.

The nanny role will be fulltime (with guaranteed hours) based at our apartment, 1 block from Kits Beach, and will be for the care of 1 baby for 3 days of the week, and 2 babies for 2 days of the week … The two little ones are both nearly 12 months old, they are family friends, have a similar routine and are very sweet!


Quick facts about the role:

• Live out
• 35 hours a week (guaranteed hours) based at our household looking after our 12 mo boy fulltime (5 days/week) then an additional 11 mo girl part time (2 days/week)
• Monday-Friday 8 30am-3 30pm with opportunities for flexibility
• Minimum 4 month position with a view to extend to longer term arrangement
• Looking for experienced nanny with experience of caring for multiple infants at the same time (eg. formal childcare, twins, nanny share etc)
• CPR training and first aid training required
• Covid safety aware – we have a small bubble
• Ideal start date: Feb 1st 2021


A bit more about the role:

Nanny would be based at our apartment with the babies while one parent works from home, in the office separated from the rest of the apartment. We are looking for someone to take care of our little boy during the daytime 5 days a week. Care duties would include prepping meals and feeding, reading books, taking him for beach walks and outings (e.g. local museums), playing, and light housekeeping (tidying up after yourself and the babies only). Our 12 month old boy will be joined by his 11 month old friend part time, proposed 2 days a week. This will be great for their socialisation and will add variety to the week. The apartment will be set up to accommodate two babies (including a double stroller etc.).

We are ideally looking for a Feb 1st start but this is open for discussion.

Pay is negotiable based on experience and training and we would provide higher rates for nanny share days. We also believe in the importance of breaks and we would have a reasonable vacation and sick policy in place.

We are thirty-something expat professionals who moved to Vancouver from London 4 years ago and ended up staying... We consider ourselves caring and considerate people and have shared the 12 months paternity leave for our boy (mum 7 months, dad 5 months). We are good friends and colleagues with the other couple who will be nanny sharing with us. We are looking forward to welcoming in a new member to our family.
