Nanny Job in North Vancouver, British Columbia

We are a professional couple looking for a live out nanny to be located at our home in Lynn Valley. You should be a natural with children and have a background in nursing, early childhood education and/or extensive childcare experience. We are a no screen home environment so your days will be filled with attending drop-ins at the rec center/library, playing outside in our backyard or at the park and other non-tech crafts and activities. Light cleaning and cooking meals is required. Main Duties: o Supervise and care for the well-being, physical and social development of children o Engage the child with games and activities o Attend age appropriate activities o As the child grows older, instruct children in personal hygiene and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home o Take full responsibility of children in absence of parents o Perform cooking and light housekeeping duties o Other related duties Candidates should posses: 3 plus years of childcare experience Legally allowed to work in Canada CPR "B" Level Certificate or higher Current Standard 1st Aid Certificate Strong communication skills with a positive attitude Ability to take initiative in housekeeping and cooking duties Must be able to pass a criminal record check Ability to lift a heavy toddler (25 pounds) Position starts mid June/July 2018. Term is one year. Schedule is Monday to Friday except every second Friday you will have the day off. Position will include a monthly bus pass. We are looking for someone to devote themselves to our child while you are working and in turn we will make you feel welcome, valued and appreciated! Please note, the position will initially care for one toddler but this position may grow to a nanny share opportunity where you would look after two toddlers and therefore your compensation would be adjusted to reflect the increase in responsibility at that time.
