Nanny in Kitchener, Ontario

I am a fully qualified teacher who has recently decided not to return to work in order to raise my 15 month old little girl. I have found it very difficult being apart from her since returning to my teaching role, and can relate to any parent who has similar feelings -- finding someone who will care for your child responsibly and lovingly is a challenging task. However, I am now in the unique position to be able to provide care for your child/children, as well as my daughter, either in your home or mine. Here's a little more about me and my experience -- I have been working with children (0-12 years) for 10 years in a variety of settings: private households both here in Canada and abroad, in school as an elementary teacher, in pre-school as a teacher and director, as a tutor, and most recently as an ESL Instructor. I am fully registered with the Ontario College of Teachers and TESL Ontario; I also have my First Aid and CPR certificate, and I recently worked as a lifeguard and swim coach. Teaching really is my passion, and I believe in helping and guiding children to discover their own talents by creating fun environments in which they can learn and explore. I love taking my daughter to community playgroups and early years programs so that she has the opportunity to interact with other young children. We have fun, busy days! However, schedules are important, and I will respect your routines and work closely with you to implement manners and behaviour strategies.
