Hi there! My name is Lilah Olechowski and I am a 3rd year Psychology student, studying at Dal with an interest in child development. I am planning on pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy once I have graduated with my Bachelors degree. I am looking for some part-time work that will help fund my studies, but that will also give me more experience in the areas I am interested in. I really love working with kids and have lots of past experience doing so! For the past four year, I have worked at summer camps for children, both as a camp counsellor and in more senior positions, like assistant director and most recently, as an Inclusion coordinator (head of the program designed for children with special needs).Throughout high-school, I babysat quite regularly for a family with three children down the street from me. I have worked with a wide range of children, from as young as 4 years old all the way up to early twenties. Through these experiences, I have learned relevant skills such as problem solving, conflict resolution and program planning. I am someone who tries to do everything with kindness and compassion. I am creative and fun, but I also know when it’s necessary to be firm. I grew up with two older sisters, so I am familiar with the joys and difficulties of sibling dynamics as well!
