Hi there! My name is Ava and I am a 22 year old Music Business Administration graduate who currently resides in Hamilton, ON. As an only child, I lack the bond that comes with having a sibling of my own, which has only fuelled my passion and love for children. From the daily routines and responsibilities, to getting to view the world through their bright, creative and interesting minds, to taking them on excursions that are both educational and fun, to reading stories and bedtime snuggles - I love it all. I would be ecstatic to get the chance to expand on my experience with children and look forward to hearing from some of you beautiful families out there! I have babysat multiple pairs of siblings ranging from infant to grade 4. I have been responsible for feedings, bathing, changing and taking them out on activities. I have babysat newborns at nighttime and have been able to soothe their cries with ease and patience. I have also served as a placement student in elementary school classes (grades 5/6 and grade 3) for periods of three week intervals where I was in charge of coordinating activities for the children, teaching, disciplining, and getting to know them. I've also tutored elementary school children, helping them to improve upon their spelling, reading comprehension, and basic math skills. I love to spend time outdoors, at the library, engaging within the community, eating healthy meals, reading, writing, and caring for my pets. I'm very compassionate, emotional, affectionate, and value the importance of fostering one-on-one connections. I strongly believe in the importance of providing children with a nurturing, accepting, creative, fun, and fulfilling environment.
