Hi there! My name is Paige and I am a recent graduate from UBC with a Bachelor of Arts in History. I\'m a very outgoing, active individual who has a passion for working with children. I will be attending the UBC Teacher Education Program for Elementary School from September 2014-August 2015, and am really looking forward to being able to make a difference in students\' lives. While I don\'t have any professional training in regards to First Aid or CPR, I am more than willing to take that on if you believe I am a good fit for your family. Currently I am a volunteer at an elementary school in Vancouver, where I help the students with many different tasks. I am very organized and hard-working, love to read and do many different activities. I am also very clean, can multi-task well, and love to bake! I\'m constantly baking at home, whether it be typical chocolate chip cookies or gluten-free or vegan brownies. I am always interested in trying different things! When I was 14, my little brother was born, so as he grew up I spent much of my time babysitting him and taking care of him. Since I helped take care of him since he was a newborn, I do have experience from the newborn age to the school age. With my brother, I fed him, changed him, played with him, made sure he was always in a safe environment, and as he grew older, took him out for different excursions, including bike rides and trips to the lake to swim. Currently I'm volunteering in an elementary school in Vancouver, where I help with 24 students from ages 5-6 and 26 students from ages 8-10. In both classrooms I help the children with their studies, with reading, and with any other personal problems they often like to discuss.
