Hi my name is Laura, I have just recently returned to Ottawa where I grew up. The site has told me to write something that make me stand out from the crowd(feels a bit like on line dating) so hear it; My big secret is ..... wait for it..... I really enjoy hanging out with kids, helping them make the best of their childhoods. I\'ve done allot of jobs and I am very qualified for many things but nothing I have ever done has been as satisfying as helping a kid see the best in themselves. I guess I would not be considered your average care giver but what family is average. I have always believed fit is everything. Just like a good shoe, I doesn\'t matter how great a care giver looks on the rack, If they aren\'t a comfy fit you won\'t use them. Although I have focused on different areas of work for the last few years, I have always cared for children in one way or another. Over the last fifteen years I have done stints of short term live in nannying, overnight camp counselling, payed sitting as well as general unpaid babysitting. (I lived for 6 years with a great room mate who fell pregnant soon after we moved in together. I had the joy of helping with all stages of her beautiful daughters early years.)
