Hi, my name is Kathleen and I am in university for a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education at Queens University . I am in a program called Concurrent Education, which means that I am taking teacher\'s college all through my four year degree. All my life, I have always loved children. I have many little cousins and neighbors that are children of ages, of which I am always around. I know how to handle messy situations, temper tantrums, breakdowns or just be someone to play with. I am amazing around children and they seem to instantly love me. I am comfortable with all ages and I am able to take care of more than one child. I can take care of your children while you are away at work, or if you have a child on the way and need some help at home with your other young ones. I am a very warm, kind-hearted, nurturing and clean person. I want to make sure that your children are loved, taken care of, comforted, and respected. It is important to me that all children feel security with their nanny and that they can be themselves. It is also important to me that children are actively engaged in physical and mental activities which stimulate their bodies and brains. I hope to become part of the family, someone who you can trust and who your children will love like an older sister. I am also a great cook. With a family of six, I cook dinner at least three times a week to feed my family. I don\'t just cook kraft dinner and grilled cheese, I can make nutritious and healthy meals. Housekeeping is another skill of mine, as I have always been taught to properly clean after myself and others. Dusting, vacuuming, washing dishes, making beds, cleaning after meals etc., I am able to do. I have a very safe and reliable car as well in which car seats are able to go in. I am a very responsible driver and have never been in an accident. When I was in grade 11, I was chosen by my school to go to The Ontario Education Leadership Centre where I was a leader of young children and helped them build their confidence and leadership skills. This was an amazing experience from which I gained a lot of insight on. Children are vulnerable and should always be treated with equal respect. Just because they are children, and I am an adult does not mean I have control over them. I like to make children feel respected and they should never have to have their dignity taken away from them. I have also taken many parenting classes in high school in which I finished with a grade of 90. I am not only looking to take care of children, I want to build a relationship that contains trust, respect and love. If you interview me, you\'ll see my love and passion for children. Each summer I spend at my cottage, I am playing with the kids across the bay almost everyday. When the parents want to go out, they ask me to baby sit for their children. The one time was babysitting three children of one set of parents, two children from another set of parents and one child from another set of parents. The ages were two, three, three, five, six and seven; a mix of girls and boys. For the night, I had made their dinner, sat them down to eat it, played board games and then watched a movie when they had all lost their energy. When it was bedtime, the two oldest boys had gotten themselves into bed and then I had to make sure everyone had brushed their teeth and I helped them with their pyjamas. Then I tucked them all in and made sure that they didn't need anything else. Afterwards, when they were all asleep, I cleaned the kitchen from dinner.
